Qiuyu Li (Alex Li), born in Beijing, China, holds a Ph.D. (Philosophy of Arts, Creative). He pursued his academic career in Japan from undergraduate studies through to his doctoral degree. During his Ph.D., he served as a teaching assistant at Osaka University of Arts for two years. After graduation, he joined a design firm in Japan, contributing to various visual and brand design projects. In 2026, he move to Perugia, Italy, to embark on a new phase of creative and academic work. His works have received multiple international design awards, including the New York TDC Award, A’ Design Award, Paris DNA Design Award, Golden Bee Global Biennale of Graphic Design, among others. His work "Variations of Heart Whispers" has been permanently collected by the MA-g The Museum of Avant-garde in Switzerland. He is a member of the New York Type Directors Club (TDC), the International Association of Designers (IAD), and the World Design Consortium (WDC).
