The Cairo Citadel is one of the preeminent places in Egypt; it’s the icon of Cairo. It has different buildings from different eras. Build in 1183 CE, the Citadel was stated by the UNESCO as a part of the world heritage site in Cairo. Rana’s goal was to design and redefine a new identity for the Citadel that captures the spirit of its culture. The branding concept revolves around the idea of showing the contrast within the citadel’s atmosphere, Cairo’s culture and its local citizens and applying this diversity in a challenging, fresh, simple and modern way.
